About Us - Who We Are

Weekly Classes

WALKING IN GRACE – Wednesdays at 9:30am

Our Sacred Circle is a unique program at St. Andrews. Each week there is an email with a scripture relating to God and creation, an environmental reading, & meditation.

On Wednesdays, we meet in the downstairs Creation Care Classroom or on the Meditation Path (weather permitting). This is a time of observation, silence, listening, wonder and reflection. We use walking slowly to listen to nature and for God: Grace (we believe that God pardons us and grants eternal salvation through Christ) and Circle (used for thousands of years by people to share, learn, hear, and see each other).

LUNCH & LEARN Series – Thursdays at 12:00pm

Bring your own lunch and drink. Starting in May 2024, we are studying The Acts of the Apostles

What just happened? Who is this Holy Spirit? How does the Church grow? Paul who? What happens now? Immediately following Jesus’ resurrection and ascension into heaven, these were mind-boggling questions.

Let’s dig into the story and follow along as the disciples begin to figure out the answers! As we go, we will also find answers and direction for us today!

Every Sunday at 9:45am ~ greeters can direct you to your classroom

(Children attend their own Sunday School during this time)

ADULT BIBLE STUDY

This study, endorsed by the Curriculum Resources Committee of The UMC, offers a year-round, weekly Bible study plan. Each lesson offers background, scripture, and doctrinally sound and relevant biblical interpretation and application. Annual classes provide coverage of the Bible, special lessons during the church seasons of Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter, and suggestions for developing spiritual practices such as prayer, worship, community, and service.

SEEKERS CLASS

We study the historical and theological background of the Lectionary readings and learn how God’s Word in the Old and New Testaments still speaks to us today. We seek ways to turn words into action as we strive to expand God’s Kingdom. We enjoy a relaxed and open discussion where each person’s opinion is welcomed and respected. We support, encourage, and care for one another through the joys and the challenges of life. We open our class on “Zoom” for those unable to attend in person.
