As the Children and Youth Director at Saint Andrews United Methodist Church, Stacey Byrd is passionate about working with children and youth of all ages. Over the years, she’s had the privilege of teaching all ages – from preschoolers to high schoolers – and she is committed to making children’s ministry and youth ministry both impactful and fun. She believes that faith is a journey filled with joy, and she strives to create opportunities for deep connections and meaningful conversations with all those she serves.

Outside of her work at SAUMC, Stacey is a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher with the Wake County Public School System, where she continues her dedication to helping young minds grow. She holds a BA in English and a BS in Hospitality Management, both from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!).

When she’s not teaching or leading at church, you’ll likely find Stacey reading, cooking, camping, or spending time with her family. She’s a lifelong NC resident, and currently resides in Garner with her daughter, Malia.

Stacey is deeply committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and youth, and she looks forward to continuing this journey with the wonderful community at SAUMC.
