The United Women in Faith appreciate the very generous support of the congregation for our Souper Soup Project. Thank you for making this a very successful fund raiser for our Missions! Also, to the ladies who sold soup, bought soup, made soup and helped disperse the containers of soup, a very hardy “thank you”. A job well done!

ASH WEDNESDAY – Wed, 6pm
Our Season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday with a worship service focusing on repentance and our call to reconciliation. We use ashes during the service as a way to reflect on our own mortality in light of God’s love in Jesus Christ. The ashes (which are created by burning the palm branches from the previous year’s Palm Sunday service) are offered by the pastor and may be placed on the worshipper’s forehead or back of the hand.

CREATION CARE MOMENTS
Walking in Grace meets at 9:30am on Wednesdays at the Meditation Pathway or in the Creation Care Classroom (depending on the weather).
Listen for trout leaves, wintercress, chickweed, violets and henbet. Pine Warblers sing from pine tops, woodcock ritual flights start, barred owls begin mating calls. Bats fly on warm nights.
“A new exciting world is available to us as soon as we enter more fully into the larger celebration of life in the full majesty outfits movements, its song, its color and fragrance.” – Thomas Berry
