Youth ministry at Saint Andrews UMC serves to strengthen students’ relationships with God through fellowship, corporate worship, teaching, discipleship, and Bible study. The teenage years aren’t always easily navigable – middler schoolers are forming their true identities, and high schoolers are preparing for college and what comes afterwards. In youth ministry at Saint Andrews UMC, we seek to come alongside students and strengthen and encourage them for life.

We are interested in first knowing what Scripture says, then applying it to life and our ministry to the world. We apply what we learn through a number of outreach and service opportunities, both within the church and in our community. We believe Christ is calling us to love and serve the world – we do this locally, regionally, internationally, and among one another. We enjoy fellowship, learning, and growth with one another at summer camp, retreats, and other off-site opportunities.

Summer and Fall Retreats:

Our youth participates in M28 Camp at Lake Junaluska each summer, where teens and their counselors join together in spiritual growth, mission work and praising God. We also have a fall beach retreat weekend packed with Bible study, spiritual growth activities and, of course, some good old-fashioned fun!
