A Children’s Ministry Program of St. Andrews UMC

“Every Moment Is A Teachable Moment”

Saint Andrews UMC Preschool is a developmental program created over 20 years ago as a hands-on learning experience. We offer classes for children ages Toddler through Pre-K (age as of August 31st).  There is an emphasis on cognitive learning through creative learning centers. We teach appropriate social interaction and emotional expression using aspects of “Conscious Discipline,” and physical and spiritual development in a loving Christian environment. We offer Music/Movement for all ages and French for Fun and Chapel (with a member of our ministerial staff) for the 3’s and 4’s.

Under the guidance of enthusiastic, qualified and caring staff, we provide a positive learning experience stressing a good self-image and the development of each child’s talents and abilities. We believe in providing the opportunity for all children to successfully prepare for Kindergarten and have worked with Wake County Schools Early Childhood Services and with Community Partnerships, Inc. with some of our students to achieve that success. In 2009, we received the ‘Center of the Year’ award from Community Partnerships.
